learning curve

One thing about learning a new tool just occured to me: people usually whine for new features at the beginning of their learning curve.... why can't it do X? But then comes a phase where you get in deeper and start to 'get it'. You learn new way to do things, learning to do them 'inside the boundaries'. I'm at that point now. I can see that this tool at my disposal can do things I never dreamed of. And very often the solutions are far simpler than what I wanted to do...
