svn
) was the single most rewarding discovery for me in the last weeks. Especially the fact that it can be used locally w/o the need for a server or deamon process. All that is needed to version-control personal projects on one machine is svn
and svnadmin
. No Apache2 or anything needed.
Martin Ott's Subversion pkg for OS X contain everything that's needed (also the server and deamon parts, which I haven't touched yet). He linked everything statically which makes distributing/installing a breeze.
