Today my Tinderbox serial arrived, and I finally work for earnest (I hit the note-restriction in the demo with almost anything I tried doing)
So I sat down and wrote up a simple outline of things I enjoyed doing in the past (things that had given me satisfaction).
I then listed under each node the reasons I thought were crucial for my satisfication (success?) with these things.
prompted by a post on the
Occupational Adventure about what one defines as 'sucess', I started assinging attributes to those reasons, discriminating if each reason could be said to be 'internal' (do'in it for me) or 'external' (do'in it for others)....
I'm not sure I like what I learned about myself there... nearly half of my reasons for doing things have to do with the reactions of other people. Being adored, being respected, controlling others...
