Traumwind - some notes for a custom built html/php/website text editor

'open from web' - needed to check html output from scripts (best done via cURL: http, https, ftp etc.)
code navigation - jump to start-/endtag
ability to select enclosing tags (see HomeSite/Dreamweaver), optimally with nesting indication
integration for tidy
of course it needs open/save from web (xml-rpc ftp etc.)
spellchecking via ispell
dict-lookup (local & ontheweb)

I already have decided on the Scintilla text-control inside wxLua to do most of this, now I only need to handle the wxLua/external processes thingy...

The setup would optimally look like this: under the app-dir resides a bin/ dir that contains all external binaries (so or most will need to rely on Cygwin). Integrating / calling would be done in a special env, setting all needed env-vars (no need to 'install' the Cygwin stuff, override any already installed, and do this w/o breaking any running system) on a temoprary basis...
