is what I do today... All I wanted was to mirror a site from achive.org... and the usual tools I'd use for that (wget -m http://..) simply barfed... (because of a base href= tag in the head pointing to an non-existant site...)
Could this be so hard? As often when I'm not in code-mode I asked stupid questions before trying it myself...
In the end it took some 60 lines of basic Perl (thx Perl Cookbook), and a few tricks...
What frustrated me so about this is - I know how to do this stuff, and I already did a lot of times. But today I actually needed to take out my copy of 'Learning Perl' to get even the basics right... Should have done it in JavaScript or PHP ;)
