Traumwind - Why writing might not happen online

Writing is - at least for me - a act of seclusion. The process is in my head, and not in the world.
The product is for the public.
Writing is a process of concentration, of focus, and most importantly, of refinement.
When I am online, it's like being on the street. Being online is a state of input. Of unfocussed, maybe inspirational input. It's like walking the street, talking to people, discussing ideas, chatting, seeing, hearing, experiencing (well sometimes)

Writing is an act of recollection. It doesn't happen while I talk and mix with people. It happens when I'm shut off from distraction. When there is nothing else to distract me. Only offline, and alone, do I find the focused set of mind to write, refine, re-think, and re-write.
Online is for creating and publishing thoughts, not for formulating, refining them.
Writing dosn't happen in public. At least not my writing. When you see un-refined ramblings from me, I'm speaking my mind, I'm not writing.
Belive me, you don't want to watch my process of writing. You don't want to re-read every time I re-write.
Ok, sometimes you might prefer the raw thought. The brain-dump. The opinion-in-making. But that is talking, discussing, speaking-the-mind, that is not writing. Not for me anyway.
